ICEBREAKERS: Personal Development Weekend Retreat for High-Performing Athletes
ICEBREAKERS: Personal Development Weekend Retreat for High-Performing Athletes
DALARNA, SWEDEN | 24–26 APRIL 2026
Hosted by Daniel & Louise Tjernqvist, in collaboration with Daniel Fernholm and Dr Aura Goldman
If you’ve been pushing through fatigue, anxiety, and mental fog despite years of training, this weekend is designed for you.
On a cold morning in 2019, an idea was born: to help athletes step out of the icy waters of overdrive. We know the struggle - when anxiety creeps in, performance feels hollow, joy drains from what you once loved, and your own body starts to feel like the enemy.
Icebreakers isn’t about competition. It’s about reclaiming yourself. Your drive, discipline, and ability to push are incredible tools - but only if your inner system is in balance. Too often, high performers are trapped in overdrive, burning energy, sleep, and focus without seeing results. Here, we give you the arena to upgrade your inner software, reconnect with your body and mind, and create sustainable energy and flow.
This is personal development from the inside out - for performance, yes, but also for presence, resilience, and energy that lasts beyond medals, rankings, or stats.

What to Expect
Icebreakers is designed for athletes who feel stuck in overdrive - running on drive and discipline but missing clarity, energy and calm. Over three days, you’ll:
Understand habitual thought patterns, defence strategies, and where stress lives in your body
Reconnect with your body and mind, beyond “muscle memory” or mental toughness
Build resilience, presence, and energy that lasts outside competition
Recover physically and mentally while staying sharp
Your weekend includes:
Lectures and interactive discussions
Practical exercises and somatic routines
Physical and mental recovery practices
Sauna, lake swims, campfires, and hikes
Homemade, nutritious meals
Single or double room accommodation
Bring courage, curiosity, and willingness. We handle the schedule - you show up ready to step out of overdrive and into yourself.

This Weekend Is Perfect for You If…
You’re the athlete who looks strong on the outside but feels frayed on the inside. The one who keeps pushing, even when your tank is empty, because stopping feels more terrifying than grinding on. If any of this hits home, Icebreakers was built with you in mind:
• You feel “on” all the time - even on rest days, your mind keeps sprinting.
• Stress or anxiety has started creeping into your game, and you’re tired of pretending it’s fine.
• You’ve lost some of the joy you used to feel in your sport - everything feels heavier than it should.
• Your performance is solid, but your recovery is slipping, mentally or physically.
• You want to understand your patterns, not just train harder over them.
• You’re curious about what could open up if your nervous system wasn’t stuck in overdrive.
• You’re ready for a different kind of strength - calm, centred, repeatable and sustainable.
This weekend isn’t for athletes chasing quick fixes or hype. It’s for the ones brave enough to explore what’s really going on under the surface - the ones who know their next level won’t come from more pressure, but from better inner foundations.
